Our Babies Music Classes – Start at Birth

Babies love music, and they are also primed to be music-makers from an early age.

We took a lot of time to choose a babies music program that was best from an educational and enjoyment standpoint: Music Together® Babies Classes. Here, the focus is on learning and making music as a family and community, together. Your songbooks and CDs are included with your tuition every semester so you can enjoy making music with your baby at home too.

Nurture Your Baby’s Inner Musician

Babies love music. This will come as no surprise to you if you’ve ever soothed your newborn to sleep with a lullaby or bounced your baby to the beat of your favourite song. But did you know that your son or daughter is also a natural music–maker? It’s true: We are each born equipped to respond to music from a remarkably early age. There is a lot you can do as a parent to nurture your new little musician – even if you don’t think of yourself as a “musical” person. Making music together while your child is an infant will lead to a lifetime of shared musical enjoyment for you both.

The Music Together® Babies Class start you on the path to becoming a musical family. Specifically designed for infants ten months and younger and their parents or caregivers, this introduction to Music Together allows babies to embrace, enjoy, and express their inborn musicality. Guided by an early childhood music specialist, you’ll spend 45 music-filled minutes weekly singing, dancing, and playing with your child along with other parents. You’ll learn how your child is developing musically and how you can support this growth at home. Plus, you’ll leave with lots of ideas on how to play and bond musically together and infuse music into your baby’s everyday life.

Your baby is growing non-stop! By participating in our babies music classes through ABC Academy, you can help stimulate this growth. It’s a proven program for developing key musical, physical, expressive, and motor skills. Your baby will also develop key coordination, behaviours, and social structures that will help get them ahead as they approach entry into a formal education.
