Hi everyone! Great job today. Here is what I would like you to look over for next time. You will be with David, who is another fantastic drum teacher at ABC. Please show him your best!!

Sebastian- Work on the beats in Lesson 1, especially 1-19. If you are having trouble, try to write in the counting and count along as you play.

Ella- Please have Black Parade finished and ready to play through. Also, begin thinking of a new song you would like to start working on.

Eric- Work on speeding up the Megalovania beat. Start around 200 and try to get to 250 by next week. Next, look at the Lesson 4 page and see if you can learn the entire thing. Take it nice and slow, since this is a difficult new skill. Last, listen to Take on Me and look at the chart I gave you. Try to make some sense out of it and play along a bit for your next lesson.

Jonah- Keep coming up with new beats and fills to show me! This week, try to play the beat, straight into the fill, then straight back into the beat.

Noah- Look at Lesson 4 and try to get up to number 12. Take it extremely slow at first so you have time to think about every note. It is a difficult new skill so it will be tough at first, but you will get it!

Sylvie- For mallets, keep doing Teoria, I can see you are already getting much quicker at recognising notes! Work on playing these scales on your piano at home: C, F, Bflat, G, and D. Remember to bring your book this week with the beats you wrote! See if you can have 8 of them ready for David in your next lesson.

Koel- Look at Lesson 4 and try to get up to number 12. Take it extremely slow at first so you have time to think about every note. It is a difficult new skill so it will be tough at first, but you will get it!

Sampson- Try to complete Lesson 3 this week at 70 bpm. Also, look at Lesson 4 and try to get up to number 12. Take it extremely slow at first so you have time to think about every note. It is a difficult new skill so it will be tough at first, but you will get it!

I’ll see you all in a couple weeks, in the mean time give David the best you can!!!
