Happy New Year from your friends at ABC Academy! We hope 2014 is a happy and musical year for your and your family.
Music Together
Music Together Classes resume on January 12th. There will likely be a 10:00 a.m. class now, so if you are in the 11:00 a.m. class, please do not come into the room until the previous class has ended. Likewise, if you are in the 10:00 a.m. class, please arrive on time each week, because we must start on time to allow for the class after you.
The heat in the room should now be fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our working plan for the make-up class will be to host a pyjama class (7:00 p.m. some evening), to be followed by a short parent education event (with child care/activities provided). The date/time is yet to be determined. These are common in many centres, and are often done every semester, to give parents an opportunity to ask questions about growth and education, and to share ideas for musical play outside of class as a group.
We will try to get you the song schedule for the first couple of weeks shortly. If you would like to pick up your book and CDs, please call the office to make sure someone is here. 416-651-7529.
All Other Programs
All Music Lessons, Rock Band, and Tutoring resumes on or after Monday, January 6th, on your regular days and times. We look forward to seeing you back.
Important Dates
The following Dates are worth noting between now and the end of the academic year:
- 17 February: Family Day, no lessons
- 8-16 March (inclusive): March Break (some make-ups may be scheduled pending student & teacher availability)
- 4 May: Spring Recital – Fall 2015 Priority Re-Registration Begins
- 17 May: General Registration Opens
- 19 May: Victoria Day
- 24-30 June: Make-up week
There are lessons on long weekends, just not on statutory holidays.
Remember that lessons continue after the recital!
