Hi Everyone,

Here are your assignments for this week:

Jack

Recommended minutes to practice: 5 min/day

What to practice: Tidal Wave

How to practice it most effectively: Go through your notes on the musical staff as well as on the guitar, play your song on your guitar and also say aloud the note names (letter names) that you're playing.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Jack to spend a bit of time on the instrument each week is a great way to support practice.

Jett

Recommended minutes to practice: 15 min/day

What to practice: Sunflower + Guitar Chords

How to practice it most effectively: Play the intro to "sunflower" that we looked at today, and check your rhythms with the counting written on your sheet.  For chords, go through E, Emi, and Ami and get used to making the shapes with your fretting hand.  Extend your elbow out away from your body as this will create space for your hand to open up.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Jett to spend time on the instrument each day is a great way to support practice.

Hythem

Recommended minutes to practice: 5 min/day

What to practice: Radioactive

How to practice it most effectively: Look at your notes one at a time and get familiar with finding them on guitar, use your "tab" notation to figure out where to play, remember the number is for the fret, and the lines are to show you which string to play on.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Hythem to spend a bit of time on the instrument each week is a great way to support practice.

Maurya

Recommended minutes to practice: 30 min/day

What to practice: Give In To Me - Solos #1 + 2

How to practice it most effectively: Go through your notes one at a time and check to make sure you have everything in a section, then move on to the next section, and then try playing sections together.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Maurya to spend time on the instrument each day is a great way to support practice.

Have a good week everyone!
