How to practice effectively: The approach you should take in your practice is the same approach we did in our lesson today. First, remove all of the inbetween 16th notes and identify what the underlying 8th note beat is. Then after you feel comfortable with that, start working out which counts the extra bass drum notes fall on (1e+a 2e+a 3e+a 4e+a), then play the beat with all the bass drum notes. Then repeat the same process for the snare drum. It can be a little tedious at first but soon enough you’ll engrain these patterns and be able to pick up these beats immediately!
