Born in Northern Alberta, Asha discovered music via stage and musical theatre. After high school, she was accepted into the Grant MacEwan Music program, completing her Honours degree in Jazz Studies at Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
Following a few years of quiet writing and performance, she began recording her first project in 2013, set to release fall of 2014. Singer, songwriter and musician, Asha disregards genre, her writing a reflection of prose and melodic improvisation influenced by Jazz, Soul and Contemporary Pop.
Hobbies: Music, writing/composition, books, culture/society, philosophy.
