I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Jaron
– Recommended practice time: 15 min/day, 5 days/week
– Practice: G, D, and A Major scales (with our usual posture and bow hold check each time before playing), Allegro (prepare for final play-through, try to play through whole thing without pausing and with the same speed, especially in the third line), and Perpetual Motion (focus on sections using pinky finger, and warm up pinky finger with playing 0-1-2-3-4-3-2-1-0 on each string).

Olivia – I hope you feel better soon!

Amaia – great work learning Go Tell Aunt Rhody today!
– Recommended practice time: 15 min/day, 5 days/week
– Practice: G, D, and A Major scales (with our usual posture and bow hold check each time before playing, make sure pinky finger is curved and bow is in the middle of the bridge and fingerboard), Song of the Wind (try to play through without stopping or slowing down, and make sure your bow retakes do not take too long), and Go Tell Aunt Rhody (first line, play through slowly and get familiar with the notes).

Crosby – congratulations for finishing Lightly Row, and we’re so close to finishing all variations for Twinkle!
– Recommended practice time: 15 min/day, 5 days/week
– Practice: 0-1-2-3-2-1-0 fingerings on each string (warm-up), G, D, and A Major scales (with our usual posture and bow hold check each time before playing, make sure your right hand fingers don’t lift on the bow), Twinkle (variation B – think “Bacon and” for rhythms), and Song of the Wind (beginning notes and look ahead if you wish!).

Hendry

– Recommended practice time: 20 min/day, 5 days/week
– Practice: C, D, E-flat, and F Major scales (2 octaves, with our usual posture and bow hold check each time before playing, and memorise fingering pattern for our two new scales), Gavotte (play through slowly and get familiar with the notes), and Kishi Ou no Hokori (watch out for E-flat and make sure first finger is low enough).

Grace – congratulations for finishing both Allegretto and Andantino!
– Recommended practice time: 15 min/day, 5 days/week
– Practice: G, D, and A Major scales (2 octaves for G Major, with our usual posture and bow hold check each time before playing), 0-1-2-3-4-3-2-1-0 fingering pattern on all strings (to exercise pinky finger), Etude (continue getting used to the notes and take note of which notes are a low two or high two), and Minuet 1 (play through slowly and get familiar with the notes).
