Hi Riker,

Hope you’re having a good break!  To help you get ready for your next guitar lesson, here are some tips for keeping up guitar practice over the holidays.

Here are your assignments:

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – First two phrases played from memory (Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are)

-Remember the difference between notes that are muted and full sounding notes.  Push the string all the way down to the fret to get full sounding notes.  Work on noticing the difference in the way it feels to make a note this way.

-Try playing this song in smaller sections as well as all together, both are important for working on your guitar technique and musical ability.

-See if you can play one part at a time from memory.  After you can play sections separately, try putting them together!

Enjoy the rest of the holidays and see you Jan. 6!

Thanks,

Trevor
