Songs: This week continue working on Runaway rabbit working on the 4th and 5th line. Play these hands apart then hands together until it is comfortable. Once it is comfortable to play those two lines, move on and play the entire song. For Lightly row, Rusty old bike and Peter Peter, remember we are focusing on the 3 different ways of making sound on the piano. Legato should be played smoothly holding the note down until you play the next one, Detached should sound separate from the notes after and Staccato should sound really short, like the piano is HOT! Also remember all of the dynamics

Recommended minutes to practice: Whenever you can fit some time in :)
This week Kate continue to think about the idea of speaking while singing. Giving more energy to the lips to allow for more resonance and buoyancy in your sound. Continue to work through the process of how you achieve high notes and long phrases. Think of a soft nose, and soft eyes. Continue with Automne and try memorizing the text. I would also like you to translate the text and write your translation under the french text. We can work on interpretation next week. We will also start with Claire de lune, so if it’s possible bring a translation of that as well.
