Here are your homework assignments for this week:
Oscar
Spend some time reviewing the elements of rhythm that we have covered so far: quarter notes, eighth notes, dotted eighth notes, and sixteenth notes. Pay attention to how these different rhythmic units relate to one another in terms of duration. Practice playing some rhythms that incorporate rests and syncopation. We will do some more of this at your make up lesson on Saturday.

Over the holidays, spend some time listening to Led Zeppelin. John Bonham was an amazing drummer and you will learn a lot from listening to him play. I think it would be fun to learn a Led Zeppelin tune in the New Year. Also, if you have time, practice the two beats that we worked on in your last lesson. Pay attention to how the rhythms on the bass, snare, and hi-hat relate to one another. When do they play together? When do they play separately?
