Hello everyone!
Here is the homework for the week!
Have a good week!
Simone
Recommended minutes to practice: 15 Minutes per day
Songs: This week we will continue to work on Gorilla in the tree and My invention. Remember to go through each step. Now that we have learned the Treble G clef and Bass F clef you have to think about which hand you are using, where your notes are on the piano, thinking about family numbers and finger numbers. Then go through your steps to learning a song. Fill in the counting, clap and count, read through letter names and clap and count using the letter names then after all of that then you can play and count. We added a new song and learned 3 new letters. Learning D-E-F!
Theory: Complete the sheet that I gave you and write in all the family numbers.
How parents can support practice: Encouraging your child to practice regularly and helping them develop a routine is the best way to be supportive. Additionally, check their homework log for accuracy.

Songs: For Just can’t wait to be king there will be a final playing test next week. Remember to play at 105 bpm and to play it as best as you can. I will give you a mark out of 100. Continue working on Peter, Peter, it’s a small world and off to bed now. Remember to count along while you play to keep a steady tempo and spend some extra time on sections you are having trouble with. Be sure to go through every step including filling in the counting for each song you play!

Recommended minutes to practice: 15 Minutes per day
Songs: No moon tonight, Square dance, Forest Drums. Remember to count while you play and practice each song everyday. In each song think about the dynamic markings and what we talked about. Strong and weak beats are important to think about, they will help you create beautiful music. Try this in all your music but especially with the painting with pastels song. In this one you can really hear the strong and weak beats!
Theory: We have started learning key signature. Order of the sharps and flats. Go through each rhyme and see how much you can remember. Next week we will have worksheets to fill out.
