Recommended minutes to practice: 15 Minutes per day

Songs: Continue working on petite minuet. There is just one bar that needs work. You can also work on russian folk dance and the two new songs that we looked at. There is also the fun activity looking for the pictures and what songs they belong to:)

Theory: You have Theory homework on note recognition and Time signature recognition.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging your child to practice regularly and helping them develop a routine is the best way to be supportive. Additionally, check their homework log for accuracy.

Songs: Test next week on Captain hook’s Rockin Party! There are also two more songs in the 2B orange adventure book Almost like a dream( for this one make sure you keep everything very smooth and play with legato), and sounds from the gumdrop factory( this one is the opposite you need to play all the staccato notes very jumpy).

Theory: Please complete the pages from last week pg 10-11

Songs: New songs= Crazy clown, A sunny parade, A rainy parade, 500 year old melody, Square dance. Continue to work on Song for a scarecrow, a merry march and painting with pastels. For each song e sure to count out loud and look for your dynamics.
