Amita

Recommended daily practice time is 10-15 minutes per day

Homework:

This week we are focusing on hearing pitches in our head before we sing it. Give yourself some time before singing a note t hear it in your head, then once you feel confident

How parents can help:

Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!

Grace Ga.

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Homework:

Good work with the I Like Song Grace! You can continue to practice this song along with I Hear the Echo and Old McDonald! For Old McDonald, remember to follow the notes like a snake right hand then left hand. I will also send you some worksheets to complete, and if you have any questions. Feel free to ask me!

Homework:

Good work on Alpine Melody. Continue to work on this hands separately, and try playing at a slow tempo. Be sure to read through the letter names before you begin, this always helps you when you are working on a song so try not to skip this step.

Good work with How far i’ll go and Part of your world! This week I want to focus on the lyrics.  Try speaking your song like it’s a story! Try reading it for your stuffed animals or the grownups in your house! Remember to ask all the questions like they are a question  and bring your voice up!

Homework:

Good work in our lesson, be sure to work on Eb Major this week. First figure out how many flats belong in Eb Major then use the finger numbers we wrote down in class to help you. As for songs, we are going to continue our work on This is Not Jingle Bells. While working on it this week try to keep each section moving without stopping in between each phrase. You may also continue Kite in the Sky and A Mixed up song. Look through the letter names to be sure you play all the correct notes for each song. I would suggest you do this for all of your songs to be sure you are not playing incorrect notes.
