Hello Everyone!

Here is the homework for this week!

Enjoy!

Marita

Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day

Songs:

This week you can continue working on Haunted Mouse. While working through this song try using a drum beat to help you keep a steady beat! Remember to also jump when you see the staccato notes. You also have young hunter and skipping in space as new songs. In addition, make sure you clap and count the rhythm of each new song.

How parents can help:

Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!

Sidonie

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Songs:

Sidonie good work with all the songs you tried out! If you feel confident, try learning some new songs on your own! Be sure to focus on Driving in the G clef, Best friends and Gorilla in the tree. You can use a drum beat to help you keep a steady beat!

Sara

Recommended daily practice time is 30 minutes per day

Songs:

We are in exam prep mode, so please continue to work through all of your music. For some of the pieces that move quickly, take some time this week to slow things down. Ensure that your articulation of each of those notes are clear and concise. Especially for Ballet, the 16th notes need to be clear in the B section. In addition, you can continue to experiment with phrasing and dynamic contrast for each piece.

Technique:

Focus on A, E, and D minor triads both broken and solid this week. In addition, continue to play all required scales. You also have a c chromatic scale and C contrary motion scale to practice so be sure to include those in your practice sessions.
