This week Camille played through quite a few songs! We will continue to play Men from Mars, but we will also move onto Ode to Joy and Sea Story! I encourage Camille to continue to use the keyboard drum beats. It sounds like so much fun plus it also allows Camille to have a steady tempo throughout.
How parents can help: Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. This week you can continue to play Jingle Bell Rock. I will also be sending you some sheet music for the songs you mentioned in class. You may get started on those as soon as possible. I would also like for you to choose a few songs from the RCM book that you would like to play! Bring them to me next lesson.
Technique:
This week we are continuing to work on F# Major scale. We will have a test on this one next week. You can also begin to play C# Major scale.

For next week we will have a test on Turkish Bazaar. Be sure to work on the trouble spots for this one. Mainly the 2nd page in the 4th and 5th system. You can also continue to work on Atacama desert. We will also have a test on this one next week. Be sure to watch out for dynamics in this one
Technique:
This week we will begin working on F# minor. That includes all 3 versions of the scale as well as solid and broken triads.
Voice:
We will continue to work on Sebben Crudele. Be sure to play on your piano while you are trying to figure out the correct pitches. Keep doing this until you are completely comfortable. You can also clap and count any rhythms you are having trouble with.
