Hi Everyone,

Here are your assignments for this week:

Jack

What to practice: Tidal Wave + Demons

How to practice it most effectively: Review Tidal wave and the first part of demons, also take a look at the new part we looked at today!

How parents can support practice: Encourage Jack to continue picking up the guitar a few times throughout the week.

Jett

Reccomended minutes to practice: 15/min

What to practice: Jingle Bells

How to practice it most effectively: Metronome at 110, two clicks per quarter note, take it two bars at a time and play them as a loop, then go on to the next two bars.

How parents can support practice: Encourage Jett to continue picking up the guitar each day.

Hythem

Reccomended minutes to practice: 10 min/day – 3 days a week

What to practice: Drag Me Down + X-files

How to practice it most effectively: Check your note on the page and play them on your guitar, take it one bar at a time before moving on.

How parents can support practice: Encourage Hythem to pick up the instrument throughout the week and take a look at his lesson materials.

Maurya

Reccomended minutes to practice: 30 min/day

What to practice: Hotel California – Chords

How to practice it most effectively: Review the chord shapes on your guitar using your chord sheet, try playing each 3 times before moving on to the next chord, take your hand off the guitar between each to give yourself another chance to recall/remember the shape. Use a metronome – try 60 beats per minute and work your way up to faster tempos. Wait for the last click before the chord change to make the switch.

How parents can support practice: Encourage Maurya to continue picking up the guitar each day.

Have a good week everyone!
