How to practice it most effectively: One bar at a time, put it together, aim to get through the whole sheet, but bring in as much as you can for next class.

How parents can support practice: Encourage Declan to pick up the bass for a few minutes each day and take a look at lesson materials.

Lucien

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: Autumn Leaves + Note review at bottom of page

How to practice it most effectively: Say your note names aloud, go through your notes to autumn leaves and check out your note review at the bottom of the page.

How parents can support practice: Encourage Lucien to continue picking up the guitar during the week.

Jayden

Recommended minutes to practice: 5 min/day

What to practice: Twinkle Twinkle + Spider-Man Song

How to practice it most effectively: Twinkle Twinkle – try picking down this week (downstrokes) / Spider-Man – pick alternating up and down for the repeated notes

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Jayden to pick up the guitar for a few minutes each day is a great way to support practice.

Augustine

Recommended minutes to practice: 7.5 min/day

What to practice: Shake it Off – Chorus

How to practice it most effectively: Use the “tab” notation to find your notes, count which string you’re on with “Eddie ate dynamite…” and use the number to find out which fret to play

How parents can support practice: Encourage Augustine to continue spending time on the guitar is a great way to support practice.

Leah

Recommended minutes to practice: 5 minutes/5 days a week

What to practice: Notes on the “A” string, Melody to “Mean”

How to practice it most effectively: A string – say the note names as you play the notes on guitar / “Mean” – watch for eighth notes and quarter notes, and aim for the rhythms.

How parents can support practice: Encouraging Leah to spend some time on the guitar each day is a great way to support practice.

Have a good week everyone!
