Kerem

You should review review the concepts explored during the lessons, such as full-,  half steps and major scale. You should also practice playing the C major scale both exclusively on the 5th string and from the 5th to the 3rd string, using the proper positioning of the hand. In both approaches you should play the scale ascendantly and descendantly.   The opening riff to Sabbath’s “Paranoid” should be practice according to the staff/tablature sheet as well.

Luke

Luke once more should keep on practicing “Come together” on the bass guitar. Luke should also play the C major scale both exclusively on the 3rd string and from the 3rd to the 1st string, using the proper positioning of the hand.In both approaches you should play the scale ascendantly and descendantly. He should also review review the concepts explored during the lessons, such as full-,  half steps and major scale.

Frida

Once again, it’s extremely important that Frida should have the HAL LEONARD GUITAR METHOD (for your convenience please refer to the link below) for next lesson. Her regular progress can be affected if she doesn’t have the book to be able to practice with it at home.

Frida should practice the chords to her new song: G, C & Dm. She should focus her practice on strumming them from the bottom to the top strings and on making them sound clear without string buzzes or sound interruptions. In order to succeed doing it she should follow the guidelines listed on this assignment’s sheet.

Veronika

Veronika should keep on practicing Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me” – the whole tune. She should follow the original recording. She should also have the book “Hal Leonard Guitar Method”, volumes 1,2 & 3 (for your convenience please refer to the link below).

Veronika should also practice playing the new 8th note fingerpicking pattern: T i m i r m i m. Firstly she will play the pattern – right hand only – and then she should play the written chord progression (G A C D) using one pattern per measure – both hands combined. She should pay attention on the changing bass strings from chord to chord, therefore it will interfere with the pattern since the T (thumb) with vary accordingly.
