Hello, everyone! I hope you all are staying warm and dry in this winter weather. Make sure to pay special attention to your instruments since they can go a little wonky in the cold!

Hendry – great second lesson!
– Reminder: purchase Suzuki Viola Book 1 (Amazon link on teacher page), look into purchasing a shoulder rest, I have included the Amazon link below (this is optional but I do highly recommend it as it can help with the pain in your neck and shoulder, and make playing viola much more comfortable)
– Recommended practice time: 15-20 min/day
– Practice: G Major and D Major scales, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Theme and Varations A-E. Try to practice in front of a mirror so you can pay attention to your posture (feet, shoulders, height of viola, bow hand). Some questions to ask yourself: Are my fingers in the right place? Does what I am playing sound right? If not, what do I need to adjust? How much bow am I currently using?

Thank you and happy playing!
