Hello everyone,

Here are your practice assignments for this week:

Ella

Recommended minutes to practice: 20-30 minutes per day

What to practice: This week, I would suggest you to focus on your hands movement.

How to practice: As we discussed about your hand’s movement in the lesson, I would like you to focus on your left hand. Please keep paying attention to the feeling of your left hand and try to mimic the movement of your right hand as you play.

How parents can support practice: Creating a space and time for your child to focus on their practice session everyday bases will help them developing a great practice habit.

Eric

Recommended minutes to practice: 20-30 minutes per day

What to practice: I encourage you to focus on the simple movement of your wrists that we talked about in your lesson.

How to practice: The simple movement on your wrists should not change when you hold your sticks and play with them. Please keep paying attention to how you move your wrist when you play a drum.

How parents can support practice: Creating a space and time for your child to focus on their practice session everyday bases will help them developing a great practice habit.

Recommended minutes to practice: 20-30 minutes per day

What to practice: I would like you to focus on the door knob exercise this week.

How to practice: I suggest to apply the technique (door knob exercise) to the rudiment that we worked on in your lesson. I also would like you to remember the feeling of bouncing your sticks without any efforts. Please keep in your mind that what you need to do is to drop the stick and help it to come back where it was.
