Hello Everyone!

Here is the homework for this week!

Enjoy!

Amita

Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day

Homework:

This week we talked about nerves. We decided to focus on having fun being free in the lesson. This week at home, dance, sing, play do whatever makes you feel good while singing.  Next week in class we will jump into our lesson and focus on having fun!

How parents can help:

Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!

Grace Ga.

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Homework:

Good work Grace! We learned a new song this week Men from Mars! When practicing this one, be on the lookout for finger numbers and note values. When you see a half note, remember to hold it! You may also play the songs we have been working on so you can become even more comfortable with them. We also learned two new words. Measure and Bar line! You can work on the sheets provided to help you remember!

Jadon

Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day

Homework:

Jadon keep pushing yourself to practice piano every week. When you spend time with a piece it continuously gets better, so be sure to get in as much practice time possible! We are working on Happy Birthday. Begin with hands apart then add hands together when you are more comfortable. You may also want to work on sections. This will help improve the tricky spots.

Homework:

Good work Pragya! You are really finding  your head voice! This week keep working on part of your world and don’t forget about your recital song When will my life begin. For this song, we want to have lots of fun, remember to do you moves but not move around too much or else we won’t hear you!

Matthew

Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day

Homework:

This week Matthew, we have to get working with the metronome. As mentioned during the lesson, try surrounding yourself with your favourite things to help you feel more at ease while working with the metronome. It really does help you improve the quality of your playing, so continue to push yourself to practice on the beat.
