Hi Everyone,

Here are your assignments for this week:

Katarina

Recommended minutes to practice: 5 min/day

What to practice: Mary Had A Little Lamb

How to practice it most effectively: Spend a few minutes a day playing what you remember from the song, keep it up!

Lucien

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: #66 – Rockin’ Rest

How to practice it most effectively: Try playing through one “phrase” at a time. Think of a phrase of music as the same as a sentence when you’re speaking. Usually a phrase is where notes are grouped together and rests are surrounding.

Augustin

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: Minuet in G part #2

How to practice it most effectively: Work on one line at a time, see what you can get through!

Lucas

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: Mary Had A Little Lamb

How to practice it most effectively: Try playing through sections of the song, and start with the beginning part we looked at in class. If you have time later in the week review hot crossed buns as well.

Jayden

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: #16 – World Beat

How to practice it most effectively: Take 2 bar sections and play through them lots of times to get comfortable with the notes initially. Always practice with the timing when you can.

Van

Recommended minutes to practice: 10 min/day

What to practice: #43 – Amazing Grace

How to practice it most effectively: Metronome at 50. Watch for the “ties” and note that when two notes are connected with a line, the second one gets held instead of re-articulated.

Dawson

Recommended minutes to practice: 20 min/day

What to practice: All The Things You Are Chord Melody

How to practice it most effectively: Look at what we’ve done so far and we’ll pick it up next time!

Have a good week everyone!
