Getting better with your hand form (high wrists, on fingertips), engaged core, and relaxed shoulders!!! Remember to MOVE the DANCE of the piece you’re playing as you articulate your fingers! This is key to staying on top of the 3-legged stool (Rhythm, lyricism and the sound you produce).
ENGAGE your core ALL OF THE TIME while playing, engaging your tummy muscles more (tummy crunch) on the strong beats of the piece you’re playing, and when playing fortissimo and accents. Doing so not only coordinates your body more as you play, but it increases your powers of concentration, so you don’t miss anything that’s on the page (hint, hint;)!!
