Practice page 2 & 3 in the new book, focusing on the dynamics (p & f) and timing (quarter notes, half notes, and dotted half notes). Practice your scales: C, G, and D major! D major has two sharps (F# & C#). Next week we will start deciding what song to work on longer-term, or a song to potentially play at the recital!

Practice playing the chords for the Bruno Mars song “When I was your man” using the fingers 1, 3, 5 in your RH. Try to get used to this formation for root position chords. Practice the C major scale (remember the thumb and finger 3 are the ones who either go under or over). Next week we will start deciding what song to do for the recital!
