Hello Everybody!
We have a rare and special opportunity to go see Jonny Smith – one of our percussion teachers – perform a solo piece (called a concerto) with the University of Toronto Wind Ensemble on Thursday, October 10th. Jonny is in the final stages of doing his doctorate in percussion, the highest qualification available.
We want to celebrate both the opportunity, and Jonny’s effort.
We are, therefore, inviting all drum/percussion students to join us for a free pizza dinner and this concert as guests of ABC Academy, Jonny, and the University.
We’ll ask you to drop off your student at ABC (12 Conway Ave.) at 4:45pm on Thursday, October 10th. They will need bus fare (if they are of age for that), and appropriate attire for the weather that day. We will take them down to the St. George campus area for a pizza dinner, the you can pick them up at an estimated time of 9:15-9:30pm at St. George Subway Station – Baldwin St. entrance.
