What to practice: This week Jonah I want you to practice the doubles exercise Gallop and be able to play through the whole thing counting out loud. In addition I also want you to get through the rest of this transcription of Rock With You by Michael Jackson.

How to practice effectively: For Gallop, here is a video of me playing the exercise counting. Watch carefully and follow along with the music so that you can get the rhythms worked out and be able to count it all the way through. For Rock With You, just go through the transcription, listen to the song, and practice it a bit more. See if you can get all the way to the end!

What to practice: This week Samson I want you to get all we have of Rock With You going at a slow speed, especially the last two measures of the pre-chorus. Here is the link to the recording.

How to practice effectively: Try to nail all of the transitions and grooves, especially the last line. Listen to the song and figure out how fast you can play it well at this point. Work out each measure, and put them together!
