Grades 7-12
What we did this week:
We learned the C minor melodic scale two octaves in third position. We also learned the C minor arpeggio. We began playing the A section of the second half of Air.
What did we listen to or watch, that you can watch at home?
We listened to a recording of the two halves of Air and an example of an orchestral arrangement of Air.
What work is to be done this weekend:
Please work on the shifting and in third position exercises. Please apply these to the C minor melodic scale and arpeggio. Please concentrate on the A section of the second part of Air.
What are we doing next week?
Next week we will run through the second Gavotte and introduce the second half of Air. We will go back to the first half of Air to add all grace notes and trills.
