What to practice: Great job on You Are My Sunshine, keep trying to play it this week and I would love to see some progress on that. Also try to play a C chord, it even easier than the G!

How to practice it most effectively: When you are playing the song we are working, try to sing along, you have good ears and they will help you!

How parents can help: Ask to hear a performance of You Are My Sunshine just to make sure she plays it a couple times.

What to practice: Country Roads is sounding great! Now that you have the sheet you can practice the melody, try and play along to the recording if you can, as well try and strum through the chords since they are on your sheet.

How to practice it most effectively: Playing along with the song will really help you get the melody, or singing along will help with the phrasing.

What to practice: Keep on playing Black Dog and those exercises for hammer ons and pull offs. Memorize the chords to Wish You Were Here and keep playing that solo! Lastly, listen to Weezer’s Blue Album

How to practice it most effectively: If you can play along with Black Dog and Wish You Were Here. Also take those hammer on and pull off exercises slowly, it takes a long time to get that stuff down.

What to practice: Practice that alternate picking exercise. Also keep on playing Black Dog and Seven Nation Army, especially with power chords. Lastly, practice the song Home to work on finger picking stuff.

How to practice it most effectively: With seven nation army you can definitely play along with the track which will help a lot. Also playing along to a metronome for the alternate picking stuff would be super helpful.

What to practice: Memorize all the Fly Me To The Moon Chords, we got all of them done now. Practice the My Name Is Jonas intro and try and figure out the chords. Keep practicing triads and the two octave major scale and make sure you’re doing the switches in the right places. I would also like to hear the House of The Rising Sun Melody up an octave.

How to practice it most effectively: Play along to Fly Me To The Moon, this will be fun and super helpful. Also when doing the technical exercises, use a metronome.
