Vivienne

Vivienne should practice her assigned pieces 4-5 times per week for 15-20 min per session. She should warm up each song by playing hands separately, but also work on both pieces hands together at a slow tempo, and correct rhythm (some parts with 8th notes and quarter notes)

Osten

Osten should practice his pieces more than his current schedule, for 4-5 times per week at 15-20 mins per session. He needs to work on his current pieces, and be more careful of playing the correct notes (read the music notes, don’t rely on the fingering number) by listening during his practices.

Alyssa

Alyssa should practice her pieces for 4-5 times per week at 30 mins – 1 hr per session. Technique – work on clarity, accuracy, with strong fingers and correct fingerings. Repertoire & Etude – keep the good work on articulation we already have, and be more consistent and polished with the rest. Also, start working on phrasing and musicality on When Rivers Flowed on Mars. Sight reading – pick any short passage of music in your sight reading book, or any piano music book to practice sight reading (time & key signature, accidentals, range of notes, fingering, tempo, dynamic, articulation).

Maria

Maria should practice her pieces for 4-5 times per week at 15-20 mins per session. She needs to work on fluency, accuracy of the notes, and correct 8th notes and quarter notes rhythm on her assigned pieces, and play at a consistent, but not fast tempo.

Ruby

Ruby should practice her pieces for 4-5 times per week at 15-20 mins per session. Keep looking ahead of the book and try to learn new pieces, but also do polish up Ode to Joy, and the new assigned piece with the new music symbol we learned (natural sign), and correct 8th note rhythm.
