Here are your homework assignments for this week:
Thomas
Practice the three rhythms that we worked on this week. Remember to count out loud before you begin. Also, try playing them at different speeds (slow, medium, and fast). Try to practice each one until it feels comfortable to play at a variety of speeds. Next week we will work on applying these rhythms as drum fills and playing them on the toms.
Oscar
Keep working on the accent patterns. Practice each one very slowly making sure that the notes line up correctly with the bass drum. After they begin to feel comfortable, try speeding them up and explore different ways of moving the accents around on the toms. Never go faster than you can play accurately. Next week we will work on playing this accent patterns as drum fills. We will also pick a new song to start learning.

Also, try practicing each exercise at a variety of different speeds (slow, medium, and fast). As you become more comfortable with a particular rhythm, you should practice playing it at faster and slower speeds.
