Hello Everyone!
Here is the homework for this week!
Enjoy!
Anjanah
Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day
Songs:
This week you can practice The monkey with just the piano accompaniment. You will find this track on the RCM website using the code inside your book. This week we also learned Whole notes, half notes and quarter notes. You can work on the sheets I provided you and try clapping, tapping, and even singing along with your favourite songs! Have fun with this!
How parents can help:
Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!
Fiona
Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day
Songs:
Good work singing and playing and singing all of your songs. This week we will move onto let’s play ball. Remember we learned a new note, balancing B and it lives on the top of the bass clef staff. You may also continue to practice Animals – by Maroon 5. Listen to the song and see if you can play along to it. There are lots of Piano only tracks on Youtube. Find one of those and try it out.

Good work with all of the songs you prepared for today. This week you can continue to work on The Dreidle song. Try playing it with the metronome set from 90-100. Remember to listen carefully so that you match your beats with the beats of the metronome. You can also look through the Prep B book to find pieces that you like! I have chosen a couple of pieces so far but now its your turn!
