Hello Everyone!

Here is the homework for this week!

Enjoy!

Anjanah

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Songs:

Good work with Monkeys and Rabbits. This week log onto the RCM website and enter your personal code that can be found in the front of the RCM book. Then from there you will find piano tracks. You can sing along with the piano accompaniment this week! Have fun!

How parents can help:

Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!

Fiona

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Songs:

Good work Fiona with the songs in the book this week. During our lesson we talked about how to find your location on the piano. First thing to look for is reading all of the notes in the song. Next you should clap and count the rhythm of each note before you play. After you have done that you now should look for the finger numbers above and below the beginning notes. This will tell you where to place your hands. Take your time while going through these steps and be sure to ask for help if you really can’t find where to start!

Songs:

This week we will continue to work on the Mozart piece! This is our recital piece. Be sure to use a gentle touch while playing this. We want t keep a smooth and soft tone for this piece, so legato is key! Good work with Dinosaur stomp. Continue your work with the Dreidel song and the Bubble song. Now that the notes are accurate be sure to look through the articulations and dynamics to ensure you are not missing anything.
