Marita
Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day
Homework:
Good work with Study in C major Op. 125 no.3. You played the whole song so well, now we have to maintain a steady tempo with the help of a metronome or a drum track. You can do whatever you need to feel for comfortable following a steady beat. Be sure to break up the songs and practice your songs in sections
How parents can help:
Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!
Marco

Danny
Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day
Homework:
Good work Danny. This week we looked at Swirling leaves. When you play this be sure to keep a steady beat by playing all of the quarter notes equally. Also make sure that you play a softer dynamic to avoid always playing loudly. Keep your wrists even not bouncing. We also looked at Aria in F Major. Play this hands apart and count out loud. Another important thing to remember is to use the finger numbers suggested to make it easier to move across the piano. We also begun red satin Jazz, please fill in the counting as there are a lot of interesting rhythms in this piece.

Good work bringing in a new song. This week be sure to speak the text like a story and to check and learn which words you do not know. You can also continue to work on the previous songs to make sure we are improving each week.
