Hello Everyone!

Here is the homework for this week!

Enjoy!

Anjanah

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Homework:

Good work Anjanah! This week we really sung a lot of solfege (Do, Re, Mi…), you may continue to sing these as part of your warm up. This week really focus on singing with only the piano. Remember to clap the beats and sing the piano part in between so that you come in at the right time.

How parents can help:

Encourage your child to have a daily practice routine and ensure that they are filling out their homework logs correctly. In addition to the online homework posts, I recommend that each student keep and maintain a homework journal where they can fill in how long they practice and what they worked on that week. You can decorate it to make it fun!

Fiona

Recommended daily practice time is 5-10 minutes per day

Homework:

Good work this week Fiona with Russian folk song. This week we started come see the parade. Make sure you read the letter names out loud before you begin. Then while you play you can say them out loud as well. If you feel comfortable you can move onto a new song.

Danny

Recommended daily practice time is 15-20 minutes per day

Homework:

This week Danny we have pages 21, 22 in your theory book for homework. You can also continue your work on oranges and lemons. This week we are really focusing on Strong vs weak beats. That means the first beat in every measure has more energy than the others. We don’t want this to be super loud but rather more emphasis on the first beat. Also keep encouraging yourself to play gentler on the keys for everything that you play.
