Owen – parents have Owen practice the new piece by focusing on the first ten bars. Remind Owen to use the chord shapes I have shown him for proper fingering. By the way, Owen has quite a bit of natural talent. A little pressure on the practice/discipline part might be good, at your discretion.
Griffin – parents have Griffin practice ex. 32 paying particular attention to rhythm. Apply the same principles to ex.s 33&34 as well.
Simon – ex’s 5,6&7 in the Suzuki book. Parents have Simon practice the parts slowly at first paying particular attention to rhythm. Break up practice by playing songs that are fun for Simon.
