Gerardo:
Build the major scales and chords in your notebook. For scales, follow the model: tone-tone-semitone-tone-tone-tone-semitone as shown in class.
For chords, remember to follow the structure: 4 semitones from the root note to the third and 3 from the third to the fifth. For minor chords, the ratio is reversed (3 semitones and then 4).
Caedan:
“Super Mario Theme”: Practice up to where we saw in class. Do the repetition.
“Ferris Wheel” (pp. 12-13): Play it from beginning to end, without stopping in between.
Start reading p. 14 “Jumping Beans”.
Zoe:
“Snow on the beach”: Practice with staccato articulation when you are using arpeggios for the chords.
“Sonatina in C major”: Play the first page with both hands for next class. From b. 9-12, practice first with separate hands, and keep special attention to the fingering provided.
