Keep working on “When the Band Goes Marching” (work on problem spots slowly), and practice hands separately on the new song with rhythm
“Rockets” and “Sea Diver” – look at the similarities and differences between the 2 songs; warm up by playing hands separately first, then hands together with rhythm counting
Now that we have written some parts for our L.H, try playing hands together!
– Technique: Review scales & major triads; new: b- triad solid & broken
– Keep working on the 3 repertoire pieces with dynamic and phrasing, slowly increase the tempo on all
– Etude: “Left Alone” – fingerings are important in this piece!
Keep working on the pieces you are playing, and bring Alfred’s Basic Piano Library book level 1B next class (and pieces you would like to learn)!
