Here are your homework assignments for this week:
Aidan
Keep working on accent patterns from last week. They’re getting better! Try to memorize the rhythm of the accents and make sure you have the right sticking. Also, practice the intro, verse, and chorus to “Back in Black” that we started this week.
Charlotte
Practice the Count Basie tune that we looked at this week. Focus on getting all the shots, or “punches,” in the right places. Also, work on keeping steady time with your right hand (ride cymbal) and left foot (hi hat).
Samuel
Practice the exercise that I showed you with a metronome. Try various speeds between 60 beats per minutes and 120 beats per minute. Don’t try to go too fast! Focus on staying with the metronome and keeping the rhythms even.
