What to practice: Practice naming the strings with our rhyme, Good Cats Eat Apples. Also work on the chords for twinkle twinkle little star. The chords are C C F C for the first line.

How to practice it most effectively: To practice the chords try singing the melody while you play them and you will be able to hear how the chords and melody work together.

What to practice: Keep working on that black dog riff and really slow it down to get it smooth. Also work on that strumming pattern from page 6 of Book 2.

How to practice it most effectively: Best way to practice would be with a metronome if you can but if not just again play it super slow and make sure your downstrokes are on the down beats and vice versa.

What to practice: Practice the first part of Black Dog as well as Seven Nation Army. Also practice switch between the chords we worked on and adding in the G chord.

How to practice it most effectively: Practice everything slowly and if you want slow down the youtube video for black dog and play along.

What to practice: Bring whatever guitar books you have for next lesson. Also maybe try and sight read something from those books of you can to practice for when I ask you to sight read again. Thirdly, try and lift that Vulfpeck son 1612. Same chords as Aretha Franklin’s Respect. Lastly, only do your major scales in descending thirds.

How to practice it most effectively: Use a metronome and play everything quietly, this will help your technique a lot.
