Great work this week! Continue practicing as you already do – your sound is really getting a nice warm tone that we are aiming for!
School Concert Pieces – when aiming for notes in the higher register make sure you get your air speed faster by aiming farther away. Imagine a target that you are aiming at and it being farther when the notes are higher. Also, make sure you don’t rush especially in Take on Me. Your eighth notes have to be very steady and even.
When working on higher notes, make sure you don’t over-do it. Practice it down an octave a few times then play it as written. This will make sure you don’t get tired too soon.
