What we worked on: We continued working technique for How Great Thou Art.

Recommended Minutes to Pratice: I know your audition is this week, so please make sure you’re practicing every day. You don’t want to overwork, especially as I know you’re not feeling well right now, but a few minutes a day is better than nothing at all.

What to practice: Your vowels are #1 priority right now. Keep practicing the changed vowels we’ve been working on. Remember your R’s don’t need to be strong for us to still know what you’re saying when you sing.

How parents can support practice:  I’ve asked him to ensure he practices singing in front of someone this week, to prepare for his audition. Please follow up on this and ask him to do so if he hasn’t. The more comfortable he gets singing in front of people, the less pressure when he gets to the audition.
