Happy Saturday everyone. Hoping this chillier weather is treating you well. I know we had some tech issues today. Hopefully that didn’t put too much of a damper on your lessons.

Isla

Looking forward to working with you this semester!

Recommended minutes to practice: I would recommend at least 10 minutes a day, where you can squeeze it in.

What to practice: “I Can Hear the Bells

How to practice it most effectively:  Right now, most effective would be listening to the song whilst you read along with the sheet music, trying to sing along and circling or making notes of parts that may be tripping you up.

How parents can support practice: Just encourage to practice!

Raavie

Please make sure you’re logging into Zoom at least 5 – 10 minutes before your lesson. That way, if there are technical issues, you can give us a call and we can make sure you’re not losing any of your time.

Recommended minutes to practice: 10-15 minutes a day is always best.

What to practice:  Please keep looking over Cardigan. Starting next week, we’ll jump into it. I’ll likely have it in a slightly higher key for you.

How to practice it most effectively:  As I said on Thursday, please try to listen and sing along with the song. I know it’s very low, so linked here is a karaoke track in a slightly higher key. This is likely the key we’ll be learning it with.

How parents can support practice: Please ensure the sheet music has been printed for Raavie to learn from. It’s very important she has a copy of the music available to her for her lessons and her personal practice. This was sent out on Thursday. You can view the link here.

Also – parents, I’d love to take this opportunity to invite you to a Fundraising Cabaret I’m apart of very soon. October 1st, around 8:30 PM at The Imperial Pub. Not really a kids kind of event, but if you’re interested in going out for the note, enjoying some music & comedy, and supporting local artists, I’d love to see you there.

Have a great week!
