Mezzo Soprano, Jenny Cohen, completed her B.Mus. and M.Mus. in vocal performance at McGill University. Her experience spans opera, operetta, oratorio, and art song. Favourite operatic roles include Rinaldo in Handel’s Rinaldo (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre); Sesto in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito (SOLT); Erica in Samuel Barber’s Vanessa (SOLT); Mère Marie de l’Incarnation in Poulenc’s Les Dialogues des Carmelites (Voicebox Opera In Concert); Lizetta in Haydn’s Il mondo della luna (VOIC with the Aradia Ensemble) and Aurélie in Charles Wilson’s Kamouraska (VOIC, world premiere with Esprit Orchestra).
Apart from making music, Jenny loves to hike, improvise in the kitchen, cycle on quiet country roads, and go to poetry readings.
