Juan has 5 years of experience working as a private music teacher teaching in English and Spanish. “When I first meet students, I like to invest time in knowing their personality to better recognize their motivations for learning music. Then I assess their theoretical knowledge and technical ability and design lesson plans that adapt to their musical abilities, motivations, and individual learning styles. I believe it is essential to understand what each student finds to be engaging and interesting such as specific songs, bands, or music styles, and then use those elements to make lessons engaging and interesting to keep the student interested in learning.”
