B.Mus (Humber)

Taylor Maslin is a clarinetist/saxophonist based in Toronto, Ontario. A recent graduate from Humber College, he has quickly established himself as a respected performer in the city’s Jazz scene. While at Humber Taylor had the opportunity to study with some of Canada’s finest musicians, including Pat Labarbera, Kirk Macdonald, Nick Morgan, Drew Jurecka. Largely drawing inspiration from the music of luminaries such as Charlie Parker and Lester Young, Taylor performs with a keen ear for harmony and melody.

He has appeared as either a leader or sideman at many mainstay venues in Toronto, including The Rex Hotel Jazz & Blues Bar, Emmet Ray, Drom Taberna, Alchemy, to name a few. He has also had the privilege of participating in Jazz festivals across Ontario; recent highlights include the Kensington Market and Guelph Jazz Festivals.
