Musical experience in early childhood shapes how children process language for years afterward. Consistency matters more than the specific activity.

Toddler Music Class in Brampton

Music Together® is designed for children from birth through age 5, with a parent or caregiver. Your toddler doesn’t need to sing in tune or know anything about music. Neither do you. The class is built on what young children learn naturally — through listening, moving, and exploring sounds together.

Our classes are led by Trained Music Together teachers. They create a warm, playful space where toddlers can move, listen, and develop confidence with music. Each 10-week season includes a free demo class so you can see what it feels like before you commit.

We offer Music Together at our Brampton studio, conveniently located near Howden and Torbram. Classes are small and welcoming for all ages and abilities within the birth-to-5 range.

How Music Together Works

Music Together is not a performance-based class. Children don’t learn to play an instrument. Instead, they develop their ear, learn rhythm patterns, and grow comfortable with singing and movement. Research shows that early music exposure builds neural pathways that help with language, math, and social skills.

Your toddler is learning even on days when they sit quietly and watch. They’re absorbing rhythm, melody, and language patterns. Parents and caregivers participate fully — your singing voice and dancing matter more than being “on-key.”

10-Week Seasons and Free Demo

Music Together runs in 10-week seasons. A demo class is included at no cost, so you can meet the teacher, see the space, and feel the energy of the group. Many families use the demo to decide if the timing and group fit their schedule.

After Music Together: Private Lessons at Age 5

When your child turns 5, they can begin private lessons on piano, guitar, voice, or another instrument. Private lessons start with the foundational skills your toddler has already explored in Music Together — rhythm, pitch recognition, and confidence in musical expression.

Private lessons are available at our Lawrence Park studio and our Conway studio. Our private-lesson teachers hold university music degrees or the equivalent, and many have taught students ranging from young children through adults.

Our Brampton Location

Our Brampton studio is close to Chinguacousy Park, Bramalea City Centre, and Bramalea GO Station. It’s an easy reach from the Howden and Torbram area.

If you’re looking for private lessons after Music Together, we also teach at our Lawrence Park and Conway locations in Toronto.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my toddler take Music Together if they’ve never heard live music before?

Yes. Music Together welcomes every child, regardless of background or prior experience. The class is designed for complete beginners. Your toddler will learn alongside children with varied levels of exposure to music.

What if my child is shy or doesn’t sing in class?

Many toddlers are quiet in their first weeks. They’re still learning and absorbing. Some sit with you while you sing; others join in slowly over time. Teachers are experienced with all temperaments and never push a child to perform. Both participation styles are normal and valuable.

Does my toddler need any musical instruments or experience?

No instruments or prior knowledge required. You’ll bring a book, scarves, a shaker, and other simple props — many families already have them at home. The teacher will guide you on materials for each 10-week season.

What happens after the 10-week season ends?

You can continue with Music Together in the next season, or explore private lessons if your child is 5 or older. Many families do both — they continue group classes and add private instruction to dive deeper into an instrument.
