Hello all,
Apologies for this being a day late. Here is this week’s homework:
Samuel
This week we talked a lot about steady time feel. Be sure to take a look at this and practice playing a steady beat with a metronome. Put the metronome on half notes or quarter notes and try to play a steady, even note in half, quartet and eighth notes. We also looked at “Back in Black”, “Message in a Bottle” and “Castle on the Hill”. Try to practice these tunes alone with their recordings.
Jack
This week we looked at the E minor chord in your guitar book. Practice this chord in time to “Get up, Stand up”. Try using the rhythms I wrote down over the chords. Be sure to practice the two notes we looked at: E and F. Use the “Two note song” to practice reading and playing notes. Remember to focus on good tone in your left hand.
Mona
This week we looked at hammer-ons and pull-offs. These are two guitar techniques that allow the left hand to slur other notes. Try using this over the line in “Back in Black” remember to take it slow and try to keep practicing it. The more you work on it, the easier it will get.
Have a great week everyone!
