Seasonal class fees are $99.97 per month; when children are ready to move into private instrument study, private lessons are $55.38 for 30 minutes or $64.81 for 45 minutes, and a trial lesson is $20. Our Music Together teachers hold university music degrees or equivalent conservatory credentials. Rating: 4.8★ from 150 students on Google.
What happens in a Music Together class
A typical 45-minute Music Together session moves through a predictable shape: a hello song to open, rhythm sticks and small percussion instruments, body-movement songs, quieter lullabies in the middle of the room, and a closing circle. That shape is intentional. Young children orient to structure, and once they know what comes next, they begin anticipating and then filling in the blanks themselves. The same collection of songs repeats across all 10 weeks of the season. By week three or four, a toddler who seemed distracted is suddenly humming the melody on the way home. By week eight, the same child is finishing phrases before the teacher sings them. That accumulation is the developmental work of the program, and it only happens because the songs stay the same.
Caregivers attend every class, not as observers but as participants. The research behind Music Together is clear: children learn music primarily by watching the adults closest to them. An engaged caregiver singing unselfconsciously is fuel to the fire. A caregiver scrolling a phone or sitting back is water on it. Singing quality is not the point. Presence is. Most caregivers find that by mid-season they look forward to those 45 minutes as much as their children do.
Getting to the Brampton studio from Brampton Centre
Brampton Centre sits near the heart of the city, close to Bramalea City Centre and Chinguacousy Park. Families travelling by car from downtown Brampton take Hurontario Street north or south depending on the studio location; parking is available at the studio. Queen Street and Main Street form the core grid for Brampton Centre, and from either corridor the studio is a short drive into the surrounding Brampton community. Brampton Transit routes on Hurontario and Queen connect central Brampton to most of the city, and the Züm BRT corridor on Hurontario adds frequency during peak hours. Many families in Brampton Centre combine the class with a stop at Chinguacousy Park or one of the nearby community centres afterward, making it a natural anchor for a weekday morning outing.
What children at different ages get from Music Together
At six months, a child absorbs the sound environment, tracking voices, reacting to rhythm with whole-body movement, and beginning to associate the warmth of a caregiver with music. At 18 months, children start imitating pitches and rhythmic patterns, often imprecisely but persistently. At three, they begin to distinguish between singing and speaking, and to reproduce melodic contours. By five, many children have the tonal and rhythmic grounding to move comfortably into private instrument study. The age pathway in the program reflects this: Music Together for birth through age five, Rhythm Kids for children aged four to seven at select locations as a bridge toward structured learning, and private lessons from age five onward for children ready to focus on a specific instrument.
